Query for Curry County New Mexico. I am searching for descendants or family of
Maudie M. Burres, or one of her
daughters Oma P. or Audrey O. Chandler.
They are listed in the 1930 New Mexico
census on page 60, lines 7, 8 and 9. Oma P. (Pearl) is my maternal grandmother. They left
Scotland, in Van Buren County Arkansas in
late 1928 and moved to Clovis, New Mexico. Coincidentally there
were two Oma Chandlers listed, the Oma I
seek was born in Oct. 1906. Contact Phillip Palmer at rppalmer@formor.com. Thank you
Phillip Palmer, Conway,
Arkansas.
(In my 1932 Clovis City
Directory the only one of the above that I could find was a Miss Audrey
Chandler living at 711 Cameo. Also
listed was a Mrs. M. M. Chandler living
at the same address. No Maudie M. Burres
was listed. None of the people are
listed in my 1936 Clovis City Directory.

Curry Query. I have a
connection to Clovis, Curry, NM on my Mothers side also. She was LUCILLE
TRULL XANDER. My Aunt and Uncle PAUL TRULL m EDDIE LAKE TRULL. They were long
time residents of Clovis. I think they had about 5 children, not sure. The
only ones I can remember are BETTY and BOYD TRULL. I remember them from when
we were small children. I was wondering if any of them or their children
stayed around Clovis. I was born in Clovis, PATSY XANDER in 1936, but we
left when I was very young but we visited once when I was a teenager. If I
have any relatives still there I would love to hear from them. I'd be glad to
share the Genealogy I have on our TRULLS going back to our GGGGrandparents,
WILLIAM A TRULL b 1791 d 1845 and NANCY MCKAY b 1789 d 1850. I have pictures of
my Grandparents PRIOR and EULA TRULL, and one of my GGrandfather,
WILLIAN ANDERSON TRULL, who was in the Civil War. If any one is
interested I'd be glad to share what I have. I have 6 group school pictures
from Texico from about 1910-1923. If someone had relatives in school in
those years they may be interested in seeing them. Thanks, Patsy Ryman.

Curry Query. My Grandfather moved to Texico, Curry Co. abt. 1910 and
lived there until the early 1940's. His name is WILLIAM HOWARD XANDER, b 8
Aug 1871 in Olney, Illinois d 11 Dec 1958 in Phoenix, Ariz. He is buried in Clovis, NM. M CARRIE HURSH abt
1897. I found his Obituary on this website which I was really excited
about as I have been unable so far to learn the names of his parents. I did
see on the Census that they were born in Pennyslvania. I don't think any
of my Grandfathers children stayed in Texico but one
daughter,HELEN and 3 sons, RAY, CARL and GUY XANDER , my Father,
went through High school in Texico. My Father Graduated in 1923. I have his
diploma and about 7 class pictures he'd kept. If there is anyone who had
relatives there at that time I would be glad to share them. My Grandfather
filed on a land Claim NW of Texico.abt 1910 and had a Variety Store at one
time. All of which I am hoping to find documents on on this website to
verify. I have pictures of him in this store. I would like to hear If anyone
has information or is doing research along this timeline. I can't go much
farther on mine until I can find the names or information on his parents.

October 01, 2003 11:39 PM. Subject: CURRY QUERY. My grandparents lived in Clovis in the the
early sixties. My grandmother, MAMIE BARNES, died there in May
1968. My father, Walter J (Buck) BARNES, was an only child. I only know
they called my grandfather SHUG BARNES but I don't even know his real name. I
found a letter to my mother dated June 8, 1975 from Pearl and Ray Barnes living
in Vernon, TX but i think I discovered his death in Curry County also from his
birth date that was in the letter. Evidentally, he was Shug's
brother. I have mailed SSI for her records, but i can't find
anything else on the entire family. Can you please help? I visited
them in Clovis several times in the sixties but I am not sure where my father
is even buried. I can't find him in the SSI death records although I
received VA and SS benefits from about the age of 11, 1969 or 1970? They
all three could be buried in Clovis-------I don't know. Thank you in advance for anything you could
do to help, BECKYE BARNES MCKELVY.
My name is Fred Thompson and I live in Tulsa,
Oklahoma. I am researching a THOMPSON Family that migrated from VA

was the youngest brother of Jefferson D. Thompson who was born in
1861 in Cooke County, Texas. In 1903 J. D. moved to Hereford, Deaf
Smith County, Texas where he operated a large ranching
operation.
I am looking for living descendants of JEFFERSON D.
AND MARY(EPPS)THOMPSON of Hereford,
Texas. J. D. was a son of Robert W. and Ellen Thompson of Coesfield,
Cooke County, Texas. J. D. and Mary lost their first son, Ollie, a few
months after birth. They had two other sons, Arthur C who
married Cora Short and Roy who married Flossie Valentine. Daughters
were IDA, whose married name was, DAVIS, and NORA, whose married name was
RUSSELL, and CARRIE, whose married name was SISK.
IDA DAVIS AND NORA

I do not know the first names of the husbands but would like to make contact
